FYI: QGIS Mobile is running on my Motorola X, Developer Edition. Of course the screen is way too small for it to be of much use, but I wanted to try.
Thank you,
Martin

OnePlus One (CyanogenMod 11s) works with shapefiles, some potential issues with spatialite.

    Matthias Kuhn · 2015-04-02 at 15:37

This is interesting. On any other device we tested we had more problems with GDAL provided layers (including shapefile) while spatialite worked quite reliably. Can you give us more information about your issues?

Works on a my Nexus 7 running KitKat. Let’s get digitizing

Emanuele · 2015-04-08 at 16:15

Ok working with and about Samsung S4mini, but… the screen is small, NOT too small!

    Matthias Kuhn · 2015-04-08 at 16:29

It works considerably well for basic map viewing tasks but on top of the feature form some buttons overlap. I guess two (partially) different interfaces optimized for smartphones and tablets will need to be implemented to get things right.

Samsung Galaxy S III running a CyanogenMod 11-based ROM. Android 4.4.4.
QField runs on the device. I’m not sure why others would claim that the screen is too small on the devices above for QField to be useful. Considering the small number of controls nearly the entire screen area is devoted to the map. This would be like saying Google Maps doesn’t work on a smartphone.
There are certainly stability and data loading issues but it certainly runs on the device.

Runs fine (so far) on a Panasonic FZ-A1 Toughpad operating Android 4.0.3.

Philipp · 2015-05-05 at 23:36

Asus Transformer TF300T does not work (black screen after installing …)

SGreg85 · 2015-06-16 at 14:55

Evolveo Strongphone q4 with Android 4.2 doesn’t work either. Black screen after starting the app, and after a second, it crashes.

Rodrigo Principe · 2015-07-17 at 02:06

Not working in nexus 10 running lollipop 🙁 You told me so, but I was really hoping you were wrong (I really need QGis in my device)

    marco · 2015-07-17 at 08:29

Yoy can always consider a custom rom based on android 4.4

Yes21 · 2015-08-15 at 23:28

Works on my LG F70 (KitKat 4.4.2) : ok with shape files, but do not see WMS layers

duccio · 2015-08-21 at 11:44

asus tf101 seems to works. on Galaxy s4 mini i can’t reach settings button and activate gps.

Lyes · 2015-09-19 at 13:56

Hi. I am using Samsung Galaxy s5 running android 5.0 qfield wouldn’t start . Thanks

abhijit · 2015-11-14 at 07:53

Hi, I am thinking of getting a compatible tab which shows your GPS position. Can someone please help whether Nexus 7 or any other tab that shows the GPS position on a georeferenced Raster?

nouie · 2015-12-14 at 08:11

how about the samsung tab E? android v4.4.4
cannot find on your list.
will this be able to work with it?

    Matthias Kuhn · 2015-12-24 at 14:46

    I don’t see a reason why not.

Mike · 2015-12-24 at 04:47

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime running android 5.1.1. Installation was successful but I only see a gps center button and a settings button.

    Matthias Kuhn · 2015-12-24 at 14:46

Then it’s time to copy a QGIS project to the device and load it.

Giuse · 2016-01-03 at 05:03

Hi, thanks a lot for the good job. Work well on Asus ZenFone 2 Smartphone 5.5 inch display HD, RAM 2 GB, android 5.

Jorge Tornero · 2016-04-07 at 09:58

In a BQ Aquaris 4.5 (Android 4.4) ,it works with some problems (slow sometimes, strange behaviours with screen (flashes with some rectangles in one side, for instance).
My project is a test just with one csv file that’s being watched in the original project. It looks that watching behaviour is not working at all.
Apart from this, it is difficult to locate where the project files live.
Best regards and thanks

Jorge Tornero · 2016-04-07 at 10:03

By the way, Some times, mostly when you change application or device switches off screen, the qfield screen “halves”, with a sightly greysh rectangle which occupies the right half of the phone screen. The screen flashes I mentioned in the previous message are related to this.

Michał Smoczyk · 2016-05-03 at 17:51

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact works, but due to small screen there are some problems with buttons visibility.

Johan Baard · 2016-12-16 at 04:27

Project data does not show, ie, i see the ‘project name’ and an click on ‘open’, but none of the three shp files show, then it normally crashes. The total shp files size is 90mb. Does projected data work, or must it be geographic (GCS WGS84)?
Samsung Galaxy S6

Barrett Raabe · 2016-12-29 at 17:22

Has anyone worked with qgis on a trimble or flint unit for a wildlife management or forestry application?

xxx · 2017-09-14 at 09:48

Galaxy S5 lineage os 14.1 works too

Christine · 2018-07-26 at 14:23

My employer is about to let me have a smartphone. Would favorite a Huawei Mate 10 Pro, if I may expect it to work with QField. May I ?

    Matthias Kuhn · 2018-07-26 at 17:02

Hi Christine, while we didn’t have this device in our labs to test it yet, looking at the specs it looks like a good candidate for being compatible with QField, regarding hardware performance as well as the Android version 8.
